We visited Sofia between June 23 and 25 as part of the SOLACE-CEE program. Under the leadership of our Bulgarian partner, the HESED Foundation, we visited one of Europe’s largest informal Roma settlements (Fakulteta), as well as facilities providing services for the homeless. We discussed ways to improve the inclusion of residents in healthcare services and to enhance their health awareness. The three-day session was connected to an Innovation Team meeting, which gave us the opportunity to gain insight into the integrated healthcare practices of HESED. There were 25 participants in the meeting, with each partner organisation represented. Colleagues from our Research Institute presented the preliminary results of the input needs assessment. On the second day, we visited Fakulteta and the facilities of HESED. Finally, on the last day, we held our Communication Team meeting, during which we reported on the progress made in promoting the project on social media platforms.
