The studies on “Social housing in the context of the rental sector in Visegrad countries” was distributed on the Social Rental Agencies focus conference, organised in September 2013, by Habitat for Humanity Hungary and the Metropolitan Research Institute. (Click on “more” to download.)
Funded by the Visegrad Fund, in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity Hungary, researchers of the Metropolitan Research Institute and their international partners prepared a series of studies called “Social housing in the context of the rental sector in Visegrad countries”. The studies focus on the need for Social Rental Agencies, and their feasibility options, in the countries of the Visegrad Group: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
The summarizing study was prepared by Dr. József Hegedüs, founding member and lead Researcher of MRI. National contributions were made by public policy analyst Marek Hojsík (Slovakia), sociologist and economist Martin Lux, PhD (Czech Republic), and housing policy and finance expert Dr. Alina Muzioł-Węcławowicz (Poland). The Hungarian country study was co-authored by Dr. Hegedüs and his colleagues at MRI, Eszter Somogy and Vera Horváth.
