CIVITAS CAPITAL logoTitle: CIVITAS CAPITAL – Making the best of CIVITAS!

Client: European Commission, Seventh Framework Programme (FP7)

Period: 09/2013 – 08/2016

Partners: 13 research institutions, SMEs and governmental institutions from different Member States (coordinator: Rupprecht Consult GmbH)

Municipality of Szeged

Description:

An international consortium has been contracted to capitalise systematically on the results of the CIVITAS Programme and support urban mobility innovation. The work includes the continuation of 5 existing and creation of 5 new regional CIVITAS networks.

MRI’s main responsibility lies with the creation of the Hungarian-speaking regional network called Magyar CIVINET, in close cooperation with the Municipality of Szeged. The main goals of the network are to support the exchange of experiences in local language between experts and decision makers of cities, as well as to help them access available funding for sustainable urban mobility projects. These goals are reached by organising workshops, site visits, study tours, translating policy documents, maintaining a website and producing regular newsletters.
