MRI members participated and presented on ENHR 2015 Conference

Four staff members of Metropolitan Research Institute participated on the annual conference of European Network of Housing Researchers between 28 June and 1 July, held in the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE).

MRI researchers attended the plenary sessions and participated in numerous thematic workshops in ENHR’s annual Conference in Lisbon. Events included workshops coordinated by chief MRI researchers and Managing Directors: East European Housing and Urban Policy workshop coordinated by József Hegedüs, and Metropolitan Dynamics: Urban Change, Markets and Governance workshop coordinated by Iván Tosics. MRI staff also presented two papers on the conference:

The Structural and Institutional Factors Explaining Households’ Coping Strategies Following the Mortgage Crisis Of 2008, authored by Adrienne Csizmady (Hungarian Academy of Science) and József Hegedüs; presented at ENHR’s Housing Finance Workshop,

and Elements of Convergence and Divergence: the Formation of New PRS Models in Central and Eastern Europe, draft conference paper based on EU FP7 funded Tenlaw project, by József Hegedüs and Vera Horváth, presented in the East European Housing and Urban Policy workshop.
